Welcome to the Pension Engel
Dear holiday guests,

we are pleased that you have chosen our holiday flat in the Swabian Alb and would like to welcome you to our house. Our holiday flats have all been recently renovated and lovingly furnished for you, so that we hope you will feel comfortable and enjoy your stay with us.

Should you miss anything in the holiday flat or if you need help, you can contact us with confidence. This is the only way we can quickly remedy any shortcomings. You can reach us by telephone on 07304/4343305. All things in the house or belonging to it may and should be used by our guests. However, please treat all the furniture and inventory with care. If you have moved the furniture during your stay, we ask you to restore it to its original condition on your departure. The rental price includes bed linen, towels, tea towels, dishwashing and cleaning products, rubbish bags in addition to the overnight costs. We are happy to provide you with a starter kit for everything you need on arrival free of charge.

We wish you a pleasant stay, a lot of fun, relaxation and recreation and hope to be able to contribute to this. The location of our holiday flats on the Swabian Alb offers a variety of possibilities to spend your holidays due to the many hours of sunshine, the mild climate and the hilly, spacious landscape with fields, meadows and beautiful forests. Numerous museums, sights and excursion destinations can be found in the immediate vicinity. We have put together some tips for you and can advise you on request. We are also happy to answer your questions and provide information on excursion tips or similar in person.

By booking the holiday flat you accept the following house rules. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

House rules / AGB

Our holiday flats are non-smoking flats.
We therefore ask you NOT to smoke in the flats. Thank you very much!

Arrival and departure
The holiday flat is ready for occupancy from 5.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Please be sure to let us know your expected arrival time a few days before your arrival. The keys will be handed over by individual arrangement. On the day of departure, the flat must be swept clean by 10.00 a.m. (exception: see "late check-out"). Furniture that has been moved must be put back in its original place. All used crockery must be put back in the cupboards in a clean condition, beds do not need to be stripped. Please throw all used towels on the floor before departure.

Outdoor facilities
The outdoor facilities belonging to the holiday flat include the terrace of the main house and the parking area. Please leave the grounds as you found them and dispose of rubbish and refuse yourself.

We kindly ask you to remove the shower tiles after every shower to avoid limescale deposits. Leave the window and, if possible, the door open for ventilation. No hygiene products, waste, leftovers, harmful liquids, grease or similar should be thrown or poured into the shower or toilet, as this can lead to unpleasant blockages. Please use the facilities provided.

No one intentionally damages things, but it can happen to anyone that something gets broken. If this should happen, we kindly ask you to report the damage to us immediately, so that we do not discover it only after your departure during the final cleaning.
The guest or his insurance company is liable for damages to the amount of the replacement costs.

Bed linen
We provide you with bed linen for the duration of your stay. You do not need to remove the covers before your departure.

The full rental amount must be paid in cash or by bank transfer before/when you move into the flat. We regret that we cannot accept credit cards, EC cards or cheques.

Please send us your booking enquiries by telephone or, better still, by e-mail using our booking enquiry form. A definitive booking must always be made in writing by post or e-mail. With the booking confirmation, the booking comes into effect and is binding. At the same time, you accept our house rules/ general terms and conditions and cancellation regulations.

Additional blankets are available in the holiday flat. These are only provided for the in-house area and we kindly ask you not to use them as picnic blankets.

Final cleaning
Unless otherwise agreed, the costs of the final cleaning are included in the respective flat rate. They are calculated on the basis of a normal cleaning effort. The flat must be left broom-clean on departure, dishes must be washed and taken care of (see "Arrival and Departure"), please separate the rubbish (see "Rubbish"). Should there still be particularly heavy soiling on departure, this will be charged at cost.

We provide you with a hairdryer for the duration of your stay. Please be sure to clean any hair residue from the appliance after use.

We will provide you with washing-up liquid/tabs for the dishwasher to start with. After that, we ask you to do it yourself. In an emergency, we can provide you with more washing-up liquid/tabs at an extra charge. If the dishwasher is not fully loaded, please use the short program. If the salt or rinse aid runs out, please let us know.
Before moving out, all dishes must be put back into the cupboards.

Tea towels
We also provide dish towels for your stay.
In the interest of environmental compatibility, we ask that you use our resources conscientiously with regard to the number of dish towels you use.

The landlord is not liable for valuables of the guest(s).

We provide you with towels for the duration of your stay. In the interest of environmental compatibility, we ask that you use our resources conscientiously with regard to the number of towels you use. Please simply throw the used towels on the floor before departure.

House rules
Under certain circumstances (happens very rarely) it may be necessary for the landlord to enter the holiday flat without the guest's knowledge.

Pets are not allowed in the flat.

Internet/ W-LAN
The use of the W-LAN is included in the prices. The access code is: 27121964
You use the internet at your own risk! The landlord excludes any liability in connection with the tenant's internet use.

Cot/ High chair
If you wish, we can provide you with a travel cot incl. bed linen and/or a children's high chair free of charge. Please let us know what you need when booking.

The kitchen is completely new for our guests. Please take care of the kitchen equipment and the technical appliances. Please put the dishes back in the cupboards only when they are clean, and the same applies to cutlery, pots and utensils that you have used. Do not throw or pour any rubbish, leftovers, harmful liquids, grease or similar into the sink, as this may cause unpleasant blockages.

The refrigerator must be emptied and wiped out with a damp cloth before moving out; no opened food should be left in it.

In case of repeated violation of the terms and conditions of accommodation, the landlord may terminate the accommodation contract unilaterally and the guest has to leave the holiday flat immediately. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of the price paid.

To avoid the formation of mold, we kindly ask you to air the rooms sufficiently, at least once a day for 5-10 minutes and especially after taking a shower.
Please leave the shutters open during the day.

As we are obliged to separate waste, the rubbish is to be separated. Please dispose of used glass yourself. You will find glass containers opposite the Wippingen Primary School or at most supermarkets. Returnable bottles and other deposit items must also be disposed of independently where they were purchased.

Service charges
Water, electricity, heating and rubbish are included in the rent unless otherwise agreed. These costs are calculated for normal consumption; if they are far above average, the landlord reserves the right to make an additional charge.

Parking facilities
Free parking is available in the courtyard directly in front of the holiday flats.
If a parking space is made available to the guest, this does not constitute a custody agreement. The landlord is not liable for loss of or damage to motor vehicles parked or maneuvered on the property and their contents, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

Price reduction
In the event of a short-term failure of furnishings, public utilities or due to force majeure, there is no entitlement to a price reduction. The landlord must be notified immediately of any defects in the holiday flat. The guest shall grant the landlord a reasonable period of time to remedy the defects. Later complaints will not be accepted and cannot be credited.

Smoking is prohibited in our holiday flats and in all interior rooms. Damage such as burn marks and holes in or on furniture, flooring, bed linen, tablecloths etc. will result in us having to charge you for this at replacement value.
It is possible to smoke on the forecourt, please do not dispose of the remains on the property, but in the ashtray provided.

Should you ever have a mishap (extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or work surfaces, etc.), we ask you to clean it up immediately. Brooms, dustpans, mop buckets
as well as mop bucket, mop and cleaning agent are available.
We kindly ask you to leave the flat swept clean on departure and to put all used dishes back in the cupboards.

Quiet times
The holiday flat is located in a residential area. In the interest of good neighborliness, we ask you to observe the public quiet times such as midday, night and Sunday rest. Out of consideration, you should also keep quiet in the holiday flat itself between 10.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m..

Please never give the keys out of your hand. Any loss of keys must be reported immediately and the guest is liable up to the amount of the replacement costs.

We kindly ask you, especially during the wet months, not to walk in the flat with street shoes.

Duty of care
We ask our guests to treat the rented accommodation with care and to ensure that fellow travelers and relatives also comply with the rental conditions. Please pay particular attention to your children. All windows must be closed when leaving the flat to avoid possible damage due to storms or burglary. Please use the resources water and electricity sparingly.

Late check-out
For late check-out between 10.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m., half the daily rate will be charged. Late check-out after 6 p.m. will be charged at the rate of one night's accommodation.

We do not hope that you will have to cancel your holiday unplanned. However, should this occur, the following cancellation charges will apply: Cancellations must be made in writing by 12 a.m. CET (Central European Time) on the relevant day prior to the booked arrival. In the event of cancellation at a later time, 50% of the price of the stay will be charged. If no written cancellation is made in advance, we will unfortunately have to charge the full amount for the booked duration of stay.

There is no telephone in the flat.

We provide toilet paper for the beginning. After that we ask you to use your own toilet paper. In case of an emergency we can provide toilet paper for an extra charge. No hygiene products, waste, food leftovers, harmful liquids, fats or the like may be thrown or poured into the toilet, as this can lead to unpleasant blockages. Please use the facilities provided. Should a blockage occur, the resulting costs will be borne by the guest.

Early departure
No refunds will be made in the event of an early departure.

Intermediate cleaning
If intermediate cleaning is required during your stay, we will be happy to organize this for you. These will then be charged according to our final cleaning flat rate (price per hour).
